Donations Collection & Opportunities to Serve
We are so thankful to have such a wealth of great volunteers who support us. As Virginia entered Phase 3, SBIM transitioned into our next phase that will allow us to support our most vulnerable children in our community, by continuing to provide groceries, but also provide snacks and activities – so we will need many volunteers.
The children in our community may be staying home alone during the upcoming school year, and continue to have uncertainty in their lives. Therefore we want to put their mental health at the forefront of our next phase. We want to focus on the kids and pair “SBIM Liaisons” with families to deliver/check in on a regular basis (every other week). The liaison will be delivering provided items to 2-4 children and also support emotional wellness in addition to food. You can deliver, possibly say hello, and maybe even get to have a distant conversation in the additional visits. Having a consistent person showing up and provide means so much to these families.
Please go to our Sign Up Genius to see our current list of needs and to sign up.
If you wish to make a donation, donations can be dropped in the blue bins labeled She Believes in Me at Floris United Methodist Church, 13600 Frying Pan Road in Herndon.

We have a constant ongoing need for toilet paper and paper towels. Click here for a list of other suggested items.

We will continue to have our collection truck parked in various locations around the area to continue to collect food and supplies. Check back regularly to find the current location of the truck or contact us at email@example.com if you are interested in hosting it in your neighborhood.
If you would prefer, you can make a cash donation and we will apply your donation wherever it is needed most.
Note that any funds not used during this emergency will revert to our General Fund to be used for future events.
She Believes in Me empowers girls by providing life skills and hope to those who come from diverse backgrounds, difficult socioeconomic conditions, and/or traumatic experiences.
Through enrichment activities and mentoring, we teach girls that they are valued, cared for and can accomplish anything they set their minds to, allowing them to become confident and strong members of the community.
Our goal is that every girl knows there is someone who believes in them! We seek to partner with individuals and organizations to make a difference in the lives of young women through fundraising, development, strategic collaboration, events and volunteer engagement. Join us!
